This event, a gathering of traditional American, Irish and Scottish performers, is the only type of its kind to be presented in the Midwest. There will be two shows, one on Saturday, March 31 at 7:00 PM and the second on Sunday, April at 1:00 PM with special student pricing available. In addition to Sunday’s performance, we will be offering a variety of educational workshops prior to show time. There are over 350 scheduled performers for the event including both civilian and military Brass Bands and Drum Corps, traditional Bagpipe performances, and award-winning Irish Step and Scottish Highland dancers along with other acts, all of which can be found at HeartlandTattoo.org. There will be special appearances by the U.S. Navy Band and the Cavalier Classic Drum & Bugle Corps. Some of the special groups include the Scarborough Bagpipe Band (Canada), the Prairie Brass Band, the McNulty Irish Dancers, the Highland Regimental Rifle Team, St. Andrews Society Pipe Band, Green Thunder Percussion Ensemble, Honor Guards and other musical and specialty acts. This year will feature a special presentation from a Civil War Brass Band and Drum & Fife Corps. There will be a special Civil War encampment and reenactment prior to each performance. This event is a great opportunity to learn about and embrace American, Irish and Scottish culture while enjoying exciting performances by some of the country’s most recognized artists. Individual ticket prices range from $21.50 to $36.50. Special discounts are being offered for students and groups.
