Larry The Cable Guy will bring his blue collar humor, full of plaid shirts, moles, and hollars of "Git-R-Done" to DeKalb. Since NIU saw Larry Last, he finished the final tour of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, starred in his first full feature movie, "Larry The Cable Guy: Health Inspector", and provided the voice of Mater the tow truck in Disney/Pixars animated movie, "Cars." In addition, his second movie "Delta Farce" will be released in mid-May, just after his DeKalb show. Larry is also now the proud owner of the "Git-R-Done Pro Rodeo Team"! His team consists of 7 riders and 1 bull, appropriately named Holy Moly the Bucking Bull. Larrys humor and genuine personality recently were shown in a blog entry on his website recognizing the young Missouri boy, Mitchell Hults, for his tip that led police to the discovery of two kidnapped boys. I'd like to honor a good ole country boy for a good deed. I got a lot of e-mails on this and just to let ya know I'm way ahead of ya. I as well saw the story of the boys in Missouri that were found this week. They were found thanks to a tip from a kid named Mitchell Hults. When I first saw Mitchell giving a description of the truck earlier in the week, I told my wife, "now that's a good country boy right there". A good ole boy can spot the make and model of a pickup truck and tell ya what the bumper sticker says from a mile away! That's because that's what we do! Right away I liked the kid. And by God, a few days later after his tip led to the capture of this scumbag, his only words were "Git-R-Done"! I about crapped my pants right in my Dick Trickle beanbag chair! I also learned he was wearing one of my hats as well. So to show my gratitude for his good deed, I'm giving this kid front row tickets, backstage passes, and a few extra surprises, to my show in Columbia, Missouri on the 25th! Congratulations buddy and were all really proud of ya. It's a good message to all these asshole child predators to think twice before ya screw with rednecks. This show is brought to you by the NIU Convocation Center & Outback Concerts.
