Lights, Camera, T-Pain. This years NIU Homecoming extravaganza will feature recordings artists T-Pain, Yung Joc, and Lyfe Jennings at the NIU Convocation Center on Saturday, October 3. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Friday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are $40.00 for floor and lower bowl seats and $35.00 for upper bowl seats. All tickets are reserved seats. Tickets will be available at the NIU Convocation Center box office located on 1525 W. Lincoln Highway in Dekalb, IL, all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000. NIU Students receive a $5.00 discount with a valid NIU OneCard (limit 2) at the NIU Convocation Center Box Office.

T-Pain
Some would say T-Pain has figured out the mainstream hip-hop formula. As a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and producer, T-Pain embraces both old-school and current R&B, and proves he is not afraid to take risks. After four years on his own in the business, T-Pain is still on top of the industry and does not appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

T-Pain is a southern-soulster, and has been in the rhythmic scene since the winter of 2005 with his debut Rappa Ternt Sanga. In 2008, T-Pain released his third album Epiphany. Fueled by the hot single "Buy U a Drank (shawty snappin)", Epiphany soared to the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Album Chart. Then in November 2008, T-Pain released his latest album Thr33 Ringz. Thr33 Ringz got its circus theme due to T-Pains ability to run the game, he is the ring leader.

Yung Joc
When looking at the rap and hip-hop industry, it is hard not to notice Yung Joc- an up-and-coming star out of College Park, GA. Yung Joc has definitely made an impact on the industry and has shown he means business. In 2006, Yung Joc made a statement by becoming one of the top 20 richest rappers according to Forbes, and he didn't stop there. In 2007, he took home the Vibe Song of the Year Award for his work with T-Pain and the song "Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin)". To this day, Yung Joc is busy releasing hit after hit.

Lyfe Jennings
New York Times once called Lyfe Jennings a "socially-minded R&B singer." Lyfe Jennings has shown he means business in the music industry. Not only is he a great R&B singer, but he is also a platinum record selling artist, record producer, and amazing instrumentalist. Through-out his five years in the R&B industry, Lyfe Jennings has managed to release four albums and 10 hit singles.
